Homematic IP Smart Home Starter Set Alarm

The Homematic IP Starter Set Alarm provides more security within your own four walls, for example to protect against break-ins.
The Homematic IP Access Point connects the Homematic IP Cloud, which is located in Germany, in encrypted form to the Homematic IP products in the user's own home. This means that Homematic IP components can be controlled both locally within the home and remotely via smartphone. Since no personal data is requested during setup, the user remains anonymous despite the use of a cloud solution.
The Homematic IP window and door contact reliably monitors doors and windows via an integrated infrared sensor. This signals the opening of the monitored window or door leaf and sends a signal to the Homematic IP alarm siren included in the scope of delivery. This beats burglars into flight with a sound pressure of up to 90 decibels. In addition to the loud siren, two bright LEDs provide additional attention. The alarm is also transmitted to the residents' smartphones via push message. The alarm behavior can be easily adjusted according to personal preferences in the app.
Confirmation of the intrusion by motion detection can be made by the Homematic IP motion detector, which covers a detection range of up to 12 meters and a detection angle of approximately 105°. Thanks to radio communication and battery supply, it can be flexibly placed on walls, ceilings, in corners or on the dresser. The alarm is also triggered via the alarm siren and the free smartphone app.
Direct connections between the individual devices ensure increased security: even if the access point is destroyed (e.g. by the burglar) or if there is no internet connection, the alarm siren will trigger reliably. All information is passed directly from the sensors to the siren - without a detour via the access point or the cloud. The communication between the devices is comprehensively encrypted. The alarm mode can be conveniently activated via voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. In combination with many other Homematic IP devices, the Starter Set Alarm can be expanded into a comprehensive smart home solution at any time.
