The cleverly designed interplay of membrane shape, surround shape and surround material, as well as the adhesive used, have been successful in preventing membrane resonance or moving into the high-frequency range. The shape of the basket with large aperture and rear-ventilated spider and the open voice coil with its phase plug produce minimum mechanical losses and thus a high mechanical quality. As a result of the construction using double magnets, the TI 100 is also magnetically shielded.
The result can be seen: The acoustic values are excellent and in the VOX 200, for instance, the TI 100 8 Ohm demonstrates its transparent, analytical sound, but never becomes too much.
The TI 100 is ideal as a low mid-range driver in small, high-end shelf-mounted speakers or as a mid-range speaker in high-end multi-way speakers.
