Cost-effective entry-level data center solution
The cost factor plays an important role in data centers. With the Ultrastar DC HA200 Series, Western Digital offers low-cost enterprise-class hard drives with lower storage capacity that can be used as an entry-level solution for server booting or for applications with smaller data sets. The Ultrastar DC HA200 series hard drives are designed to support up to 550 TB per year and are available with up to 2 TB of effective storage capacity. The RVS (rotational vibration safeguard) technology of the hard drives compensates for linear and rotational vibration in real time. This is especially important in multi-disk arrays and in rack systems to maintain high read/write performance. The Ultrastar DC HA200 series has a 6-Gbps SATA interface and a 512-byte (512n) native sector size for compatibility with legacy data center applications.
