The NA-IS1-14 Sx2 set consists of two 5-mm thick spacers for suction operation, which can be mounted on the inlet side of Noctua 140x25-mm fans. In applications where the fan draws in through obstacles such as grids, perforated plates, mesh panels, filters or radiators, this can often improve both the acoustics and the flow rate.
The additional distance between the fan and the obstacle means that the NA-IS1 spacers reduce turbulence in the inflow, which, depending on the application and fan model, can not only increase the volume flow, but also often reduces the sound pressure level and makes the running noise more pleasant for your ears.
Since the NA-IS1-14 replaces the NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads pre-mounted on the fan, they are compatible with all current Noctua 140x25-mm fans with a square frame and are also easy to mount.
