POPP Z-Weather
POPP Z-Weather is a wind and weather sensor powered by a small solar module that does not require energy from an external source.
Thanks to the intelligent energy management system and the internal capacitor, the wind sensor can send results to the Z-Wave control panel day and night.
The energy management system varies the sensor's ''wake-up intervals'' between five minutes (on sunny days) and one to two hours on cloudy days or at the start of the day.
In addition, the energy management system ensures that the multi-sensor capacitor is never deeply discharged, so that in an emergency there is enough energy to report strong winds, storms and twilight and trigger appropriate actions.
The multi-sensor can record various measurements and sends them to the smart home centre via Z-Wave radio:
- Wind speed
- Air temperature
- Relative air humidity
- Light intensity
- Air pressure
- Dew point
Z-Weather also calculates the energy yield that a solar system would generate at the same location.
