The universal tool for programming many PIC controllers made by Microchip PIC is software and hardware compatible with PIC KIT 2 (DV 164120). The original Microchip software (MPLAB, PICKIT2 Programmer) can be used.
The programmer firmware can be updated at any time using Microchip tools.
This kit also contains a pivot lever. This can be used for programming DIL/DIP-format controllers. Simply connect the adapter module with the 6-pin programmer ISP plug. Additional wiring is not required.
Many controllers in 8, 14, 18, 20, 28 and 40-pin DIL/DIP enclosures can be programmed directly using this unit. Patch panels are a thing of the past - this set lets you get going without any tedious wiring.
