Measures outdoor brightness (in lux)
The Homatic IP light Sensor is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home System and measures the brightness in the outdoor area. The determined values can be displayed and evaluated via the free Homematic IP smartphone app. The Homematic IP light sensor offers a wide range of applications in conjunction with other Homematic IP devices, such as Roller shutter and blind actuators or switch sockets. The light sensor measures the light values in lux and passes the measured information to the associated Homatic IP devices, which react according to the previously defined configuration. For example, the awning can be extended in strong sunlight, or the facade light can be switched on at dusk while the shutters are shut down.
Thanks to battery operation and wireless communication, the Homematic IP light sensor is ready for immediate use. Ideally, it is either mounted on the wall or placed at the desired location in the outdoor area. The required mounting material, such as dowels and screws, is included in the scope of delivery. The Homematic IP Access point in conjunction with the smartphone app, the Homematic Control Center CCU2 or a suitable partner solution is required for the operation of the Homematic IP light sensor.
