Reliably detects people passing a door and is able to register the number of people as well as the passage direction
The Homematic IP Passage Sensor with Direction Recognition is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects persons when passing a door or passageway The number of persons and passage direction is registered. The sensor is able to detect persons during day and night within a detection range of up to 4.5 meters. The detection angle is 66°. If the sensor is used in connection with other Homematic IP devices, various application scenarios can be realised. For example, the room light can automatically be switched on when entering the room and off when leaving the room. Furthermore, the sensor can be used for triggering of alarms. The device is mounted horizontally to the ground and can be positioned not only in the door frame, but also on different surfaces and locations in buildings. At a mounting height from 80 centimetres, the detection of pets will be avoided. An integrated tamper contact offers additional security. Two LR6 batteries offer power supply for the presence sensor of up to two years. The device is installed either using double-sided adhesive strips or with two little screws. The required mounting material is supplied.
