IQaudio Codec Zero is a Raspberry Pi zero-size audio I/O HAT. It provides bidirectional digital audio (I2S) between Raspberry Pi Zero and its integrated Dialog Semiconductor DA7212 codec. Codec Zero supports a range of input and output devices, from built-in MEMS microphones to external monoelectret microphones to 1.2 W and 8 ohm mono speakers.
The IQaudio Codec Zero has green and red LEDs that can be used for status, as well as a tactile button that can be used to start an event. Codec Zero is a good starting point for a walkie-talkie, smart doorbell, vintage radio hack or smart speaker.
