The MailPlus and MailPlus Server packages provide your business with a secure, reliable and private email server whilst giving your employees a modern
email client for receiving and sending messages. What's more, MailPlus and MailPlus Server run on your Synology NAS,
meaning that you do not need to rely on third-party services. Best of all: MailPlus offers 5 free email accounts and can be extended as required using the flexible licensing programme.

High-availability architecture
MailPlus supports high-availability clusters at no extra charge. By default, one cluster includes
five free email accounts. Additional licenses are required for
other accounts enabled on the LDAP server or Windows AD domain.
For example, if you want to enable 25 email accounts in the high-availability cluster,
you will need 20 additional licenses (SYNOLOGY MP20)

MailPlus web client and mobile app
MailPlus web client and the mobile app are updated regularly and
can be used for free in conjunction with MailPlus Server. However,
their functions will be limited if there are insufficient valid licenses
in MailPlus Server. MailPlus Server is required to run
MailPlus web client and the mobile app.

Activation and extension
You can register and remove license keys in MailPlus Server package > License or you can manage them at account.synology.com. You can extend the validity of registered license keys before the license expires by using completely new license keys of the same type (for 5 accounts or for 20 accounts). A license key can only be applied to one MailPlus-supported Synology product at a time.

License expiration notification
MailPlus Server will send the first notification to the administrator two months before the license expiration date. After the first notification, the system will continue to notify you at the following frequency:

• When the license key is only valid for one more month
• When the license key is only valid for two more weeks
• �Daily in the last week that the license is valid
• �Immediately after the license key expires
