The Italian city of Agrakas, now called Agrigento, in southern Sicily inspired our composition. The fragrance Akragas captures the fascination of this melting pot of cultures and wonders, and begins with the salt of the most famous salt tunnel, surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland in an enchanting landscape. AKRAGAS opens with an almost pungent bouquet that immediately immerses you in the maquis, the typical Mediterranean scrub: you perceive Sicilian myrtle and seaweed, in close embrace with the citrus fruits typical of the island, first and foremost grapefruit and the unmistakable power of neroli. These top notes are supported by a generous heart, as powerful as the Sicilian land, and in which the salt from the adit near Agrigento is the tone-setting note, accented by Atlas cedar and strongly aromatized by red thyme and Bulgarian geranium. The entire composition is built on a powerful aromatic base, echoing the sea breeze of Sicily, driven by benzoin and musk, with counterpoints of patchouli from Singapore and vanilla beans from Madagascar. A wonderfully intriguing, salty perfume.Top notes: myrtle, sea grass, grapefruit, neroli.Heart notes: salt, cedar wood, red thyme, Bulgarian geranium.Base notes: musk, benzoin, patchouli from Singapour, vanilla from Madagascar.
