Controls 12 V/AC motors (even DC motors with an upstream rectifier), light bulbs, heaters, etc. Only for operation on a 12 V/AC transformer (50 - 60 Hz), not for DC (Battery). By replacing the potentiometer, it is possible to regulate voltages such as 24 V/AC or 48 V/AC.
