This speed controller was developed especially for low voltage electric motors. The main fields of application are: Infinitely variable speed control of direct current drilling machines, model cars, windscreen wiper motors and for power tools. Due to the pulse width control, which works with a frequency of approx. 20 kHz, the power loss remains low even at low speeds. By using a MOSFET transistor, the output current can be continuously adjusted from 0 to 5A with a potentiometer, whereby the electronics are protected in the event of a sudden blocking of the motor. The adjustment range of the motor extends from complete standstill to maximum speed. With another additional potentiometer, the device offers a possibility to set load-independent speed stabilization. This avoids torque and speed losses at higher loads and ensures smooth motor running even at low speeds.
