The Lindy DVI EDID emulator is designed for systems that require continuous, uninterrupted EDID signals. The use of the emulator prevents problems with the EDID that can occur when using devices such as AV/KVM extenders, switches and splitters. It can also be used instead of a monitor to keep a PC or server's graphics card available for remote access via IP. With supported resolutions up to 2560x1600 at 60 Hz, the emulator is suitable for older PCs and displays. When used with the Lindy EDID recorder (32120), this emulator can provide the graphics card containing cloned EDID information.
It is also possible to use the emulator without cloning a display, as it provides default EDID data for the most common resolution/timing combinations.
