Power Delivery (PD) offers a significantly more flexible and powerful solution compared to older USB standards. It reduces the number of cables and power supply units needed in everyday life and supports modern fast charging technologies. As part of the USB-C standard, PD enables higher performance and intelligent power distribution, and is direction-independent and versatile.
The XTAR PD20W USB-C power supply unit with fast charging function is backwards compatible and also works with Quick Charge (QC) devices, provided they support the technology. In general, PD is compatible with almost all common technologies.
Requirements: The USB-PD power supply unit is suitable for all devices that require 5 V at 2.1 A. However, in order to take full advantage of the power delivery functions, all components involved in the charging process-end device, charger and USB cable-must support PD. The cable should also not be outdated.
