They are supplied pre-charged and can be used directly without further charging. They also stay charged for up to 12 months when not in use. The batteries can be charged with any charger suitable for NiMH batteries. Duracell also offers a guaranteed 5-year battery life for unused batteries (or up to 100 charging cycles, whichever occurs first).
