Homematic IP Smart Home Window and Door Contact with Magnet
Reliably detects the opening or closing of windows or doors via a magnetic contact
The Homematic IP window and door contact is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably monitors the opening and closing of windows/doors using a magnetic contact.
In combination with a radiator thermostat, it reduces energy consumption in the home and alerts in case of unauthorized access via the free Homematic IP app - even on the go.
It can be set up flexibly via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point) or via a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU3 central controller). Alternatively, the smart window contact can also be operated without a control panel: The stand-alone operation (push-to-pair) allows direct teaching of up to eight radiator thermostats - basic (HmIP-eTRV-B) for automatic lowering of the room temperature during ventilation.
Via the app, the window contact can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system and thus additionally used for security applications, for example. The cloud solution enables flexible remote access at any time from any location. Those who prefer to know the data locally in the home network, but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, can resort to the setup via the CCU3 control center.
Power is supplied by two LR03 batteries, which can power the sensor for up to four years. For secure mounting, both double-sided adhesive strips and suitable screws are supplied.
