In contrast to conventional connectors, direct connectors minimize a wide range of obstacles such as direction changes, reflections and cross-section changes, resulting in clear signal transmission.

The direct plug allows direct contact of the PCB without a corresponding mating plug. Compared to a spring-knife pair, there are fewer contact points and transitions, and current carrying capacity and data transfer properties are positively influenced.
