Wildlife cameras provide foresters and hunters with valuable insights into their hunting grounds. However, photo traps can also be useful for monitoring objects such as allotment gardens or garages, as well as against theft and vandalism. The new Scouting Cam Black500 4K from BRAUN Photo Technik has been specially developed for surveillance tasks. Videos can even be recorded in high 4K Ultra HD resolution at 30 frames per second (fps), while photos with a maximum image resolution of up to 48 MP are no problem.
Settings can be made directly on the camera's control panel and the 2.4'' TFT color display. The images can also be viewed and checked conveniently and directly via the color display. The video resolution can vary from 4K, 2.7K, 720P, VGA (each 30fps) up to 1080p (60fps). The photo resolution can be set between 48 and 3MP. The BRAUN Scouting Cam Black500 4K also has three integrated PIR motion sensors with three different sensitivities, a detection angle of 120 degrees, a trigger distance of up to 20 meters and a trigger time of around 0.6 seconds.
Thanks to the built-in infrared LEDs and the 5MP CMOS image sensor, both high-quality day and night shots can be taken. The images can be stored on a micro SD memory card with up to 512GB. The new wildlife camera also has a mini USB slot for connection to a PC.
The new BRAUN Scouting Cam Black500 4K wildlife camera also has an integrated microphone, a loudspeaker, password protection, a time-lapse mode and an indication of the date, time, moon phase and temperature. Thanks to a mounting strap and a practical tree mount, the robust and splash-proof (IP66) wildlife camera can be easily attached to the desired location. The operating temperatures range from -20°C to +60°C. The standby time is around 8 months. Eight AA batteries are used for the power supply. Optionally, the camera can also be supplied with power via a 6V 1.5A mains adapter.
