For the most demanding of server applicationsThe backplane can be operated with both SATA and SAS hard drives. It is extremely stable even with a very high data throughput. Controlling the temperature is designed to be correspondingly complex. The aluminium parts dissipate the heat and the 80-mm fan is reliable and quiet. If the temperature inside the housing becomes too high, acoustic and optical signals are issued as a warning. All mechanical parts are designed to withstand high levels of stress.
