The Smart Home central QIVICON Home Base 1.0, QIVICON Home Base 2.0 and the Speedport Smart router communicate wirelessly with the respective Smart Home devices. To this end, the central radio systems are able to handle various radio systems.

The radio systems can be imagined as different languages. The central units speak different languages and the devices also speak different languages. For communication to work, the control panel must speak the same language as the devices.
