We are talking about the inrush current, i.e. the electrical current that flows immediately after a powerful device is switched on.
It is often many times higher than the rated current and loads the mains and connected consumers equally.
This can lead to undesirable effects such as the tripping of fuses and circuit breakers or even the overloading of the entire system.
The SCL 3680 inrush current limiter provides a remedy here and briefly reduces the high inrush currents to prevent the fuse from blowing.
Function
The SCL 3680 inrush current limiter prevents the fuse from tripping unintentionally when powerful loads are switched on.
The intermediate plug reduces the load peaks typical of high-consumption devices when they are switched on.
