Achieve significantly more robust connections, greater range and higher throughput with the Gigabit Powerline for up to 1200 Mbps and the latest 2x2 MIMO technology. The Powerline device therefore allows broadband applications of a high standard anywhere in the house or apartment.
Powerline of the 1200 class
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220E quickly and reliably connects together network devices such as computers, TVs or game consoles in the home network — even over large distances. Two ultra-fast Gigabit LAN ports are available on the adapter. Long distances and obstacles such as walls and ceilings are easily overcome with networking via the power line. Compared with Powerline adapters in the 500 Mbps and 200 Mbps classes, the FRITZ!Powerline 1220E allows significantly higher transmission capacity and more robust connections with higher energy efficiency. This means that multiple demanding broadband applications can be used simultaneously.
Powerful 2x2 MIMO technology
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220E set is ideal for bandwidth-intensive network applications, such as transferring HD videos (even in 3D), high-speed Internet access, online gaming, web TV, NAS connection and video on demand. Even if there are large distances involved, transfer quality is not compromised. The 2x2 MIMO technology allows the simultaneous use of two wire pairs, up to 60% greater range in the electricity network with considerably more stable connections and gross transfer rates of up to 1200 Mbps. If both pairs cannot be used simultaneously, automatic selection of the wire pair with the better transfer rate (diversity) ensures robust Powerline transfer.
Safe and easy from the factory
An outstanding feature of AVM FRITZ!Powerline products is the individual factory pre-encryption, which allows immediate and safe setup. The FRITZ!Powerline 1220E can easily be set up at the desired location via a socket and connected to the relevant device. The adapter is then securely added to the existing Powerline network at the push of a button. This connection is automatically secured by means of individual 128-bit AES encryption. FRITZ!Powerline 1220E is compatible with current devices of the 1200, 500 and 200 Mbps class. Updates can be easily configured by the FRITZ!Powerline program or via the FRITZ!Box interface.
