Product functionality
The TL-WA860RE WIFI Repeater from TP-LINK was developed to create an expanded WIFI network with wider coverage and a greater range. It offers the repeater mode as a standard WIFI mode, and acts as a ''relay station'' to pick up WIFI signals from a base router or from a network access point and then magnify the signal perfectly in areas that were previously unreachable or difficult to connect with cables. Thanks to its LAN-port, the repeater is able to act as a WIFI adapter for network devices.
WIFI expansion with 300 Mbit/s
The TL-WA860RE was developed to improve the coverage and strength of existing WIFI networks and to eliminate ''dead areas''. With data rates of up to 300 Mbit/s as per IEEE802.11n, it is the ideal device for fluid HD video streaming, online gaming and VoIP.
Flexible placement
The small enclosure for practical connection to the outlet allows for simple and flexible installation. Furthermore, the TL-WA850RE detects previously configured WIFI networks, so that you can switch very easily between various networks that have already been programmed in, without changing anything.
Integrated front outlet for connecting an additional device
The integrated front outlet on the TL-WA860RE allows the device previously plugged in on that outlet to be reconnected. This ensures that no outlet is lost.
Plug and play
The TL-WA860RE requires no configuration. By pressing the WPS button, followed by actuating the range extender button on the TL-WA860RE, you can create a connection very easily and without complications.
Ethernet bridge
The TL-WA860RE's LAN port allows the repeater to function simultaneously as a WIFI adapter. This allows you to integrate cable-connected network devices such as Blu-ray® players, game consoles, televisions etc. in a WIFI network. Simultaneously, as usual, your WIFI network is enlarged.
Signal strength display
The intelligent indicator lamps show the signal strength currently received through the TL-WA860RE, which makes it very easy for you to find the best operating location.
