The EX-44083 PCI Express I/O card provides two serial RS-232 high-performance UART 16C550 outputs. It was developed to add four additional serial outputs for a PC, small workstation or server via the PCI Express bus.
The card is fully plug-and-play compatible. In addition, +5 V or +12 V can be configured on pin 9 of the serial connector for a POS system (power over system). With the EX-44082, two low profile brackets are supplied for installation in narrow computer housings up to 8 cm height.
