20-cm (8'') high-end full-range speaker. This high-end speaker is characterised by a high degree of efficiency and a very balanced frequency response with no major fluctuations. These features are achieved by the very lightweight paper membrane, the fabric surround and the optimised drive with a 25-mm voice-coil (aluminium wire), which uses the magnetic field in the air gap to optimal effect (voice-coil slope). The capton voice-coil carrier is ventilated. The robust die-cast aluminium basket not only looks good, but also vents the spider from behind thanks to its openings, to keep the mechanical losses to a minimum. Distortions remain at an even and very low level.
The B 200 is ideal for use in high-quality and powerful one-way speakers, in which amazing results can be achieved with traditional enclosed or ventilated cabinets as well as more exotic concepts such as horns or open baffles.
