This isolating barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications.
The device supplies 2-wire SMART transmitters in hazardous areas and is also suitable for 2-wire SMART current sources.
The analog input signal is transmitted to the safe area as an electrically isolated current value.
Binary signals can be superimposed on the input signal on the Ex or non-Ex side, which are transmitted bidirectionally.
The operating mode of the output can be selected as a current source, current sink or voltage source via DIP switches.
If the HART communication resistance in the control circuit is too low, the internal resistance of 250 O between terminals 6 and 8 can be used.
Test sockets for connecting HART communicators are integrated into the device terminals.
