The Modbus TCP controller can be used as a programmable controller in Ethernet networks in conjunction with the WAGO I/O system.
The controller detects the inserted I/O modules and uses this information to create a local process image.
This can involve a mixed arrangement of analogue (word-by-word data exchange) and digital (bit-by-bit data exchange) modules.
The two Ethernet interfaces and the integrated switch enable the fieldbus to be wired in a linear topology.
Additional infrastructure elements such as switches and hubs are not required.
Both interfaces support auto negotiation and Auto-MDIX.
With the DIP switch, both the last byte of the IP address and the IP address reference can be determined.
The controller is suitable for fieldbus communication in Modbus® networks.
A number of standardised Ethernet protocols are also supported (HTTP(S), BootP, DHCP, DNS, SNTP, (S)FTP, SNMP).
An integrated web server provides the user with configuration options and information on the status of the controller.
The device is programmable in accordance with IEC 61131-3 and supports multitasking.
