FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX expands your home network easily and securely via the power line with Gigabit Powerline and Wi-Fi 6. The access point connects all mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, TVs or games consoles to the home network at the touch of a button. Gigabit powerline of up to 1,200 MBit/s and 2 x 2 MIMO technology enable robust connections, long range and high data throughput for bandwidth-intensive applications with moderate energy consumption.

In Wi-Fi Mesh, FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX takes over all Wi-Fi settings of the FRITZ!Box, for example the access data and guest access. FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX forwards the data received via the power line at up to 1,200 Mbps to the devices in the home network via Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 GHz at up to 600 Mbps. The distributed FRITZ! devices work in a single WLAN, exchange data with each other and optimize the performance of all WLAN devices. This gives you the best possible connection wherever you are. Streaming, gaming and downloads are seamless and reach every corner of every room at top speed. The entire Wi-Fi network has just one name, one password and is securely encrypted.

Energy management for Powerline, LAN and WLAN
FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX combines Powerline, Wi-Fi 6 and LAN connections in one multifunctional, energy-saving product. Intelligent energy management automatically regulates the connection via Powerline and thus reduces power consumption. With moderate data requirements, the LAN port speeds can also be reduced from 1,000 to 100 MBit/s to reduce the power consumption of the devices. Green AP, Target Wake Time and WLAN time switching also help to save power in the WLAN.
