Automatic and convenient control of room temperature by heating according to demand
The Homematic IP radiator thermostat - basic is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and actively helps to save energy. The smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, allowing energy savings of up to 30 %.
The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without interfering with the heating system and without tools. Power is supplied by two AA batteries, which can provide energy for about 2 years. The radiator thermostat is ready for immediate use thanks to a preset heating profile - this can be manually adjusted at any time if required. Individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes are possible per day. In this way, Homematic IP only heats certain rooms when there is a real need.
The device can be set up flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point) or via a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU3 control panel). Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also be operated without a control panel: Stand-alone operation (push-to-pair) allows direct teaching of up to eight window and door contacts with magnet (HmIP-SWDM) for automatic lowering of the room temperature during ventilation.
Via the app, the radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system. For example, the cloud solution allows the temperature to be set at any time from any location. Those who prefer to know the data locally in the home network, but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, can resort to the setup via the CCU3 control center.
