Colibri® is a shielded, double-row SMT connector system with a 0.5 mm pitch. It meets all the specifications for PICMG COM Express®, SFF-SIG CoreExpress® and nano-ETXexpress connectors. The Colibri® products are compatible with common connectors on the market and have been extensively tested.

The COM Express standard for connectorsThe COM Express® specification for connectors was developed by PICMG for Computer-on-Modules (COM). Here it is determined, among other things, which dimensions the module must have and where the mounting holes and contact assignments are placed to the carrier board.
COM Express® modules integrate the core functionalities of a bootable PC such as CPU, graphics processor, memory and standard interfaces.
Inserting a COM module on a carrier board reduces development times and costs. In addition, the life cycle of products can not only be extended, but also upgraded by inserting newer COM Express® modules with higher performance on the carrier board.
