This isolated barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications.
The device powers 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters in hazardous areas and is also suitable for 2-wire SMART current sources.
The analogue input signal is transferred to the safe area as two galvanically isolated current values.
Binary signals that are transmitted bidirectionally can be superimposed on the input signal on the hazardous or non-hazardous side.
If the HART communication resistance in the control circuit is too low, the internal resistance of 250 ohms can be used between terminals 8 and 9.
Test sockets for the connection of HART communicators are integrated into the device terminals.
