The TL-WA850RE WIFI Repeater from TP-LINK was developed to create an expanded WIFI network with broader coverage and wider range, with a WIFI infrastructure being established instead of many wires.
It offers the repeater mode as a standard WIFI mode, and acts as a ''relay station'' to pick up WIFI signals from a base router or from network access point and then enlarge the signal perfectly areas that were previously unreachable or difficult to connect with cables. Its Ethernet port allows it to serve as a WIFI adapter for Ethernet devices.

The TL-WA850RE was developed to improve the coverage and strength of existing WIFI networks and to eliminate ''dead areas''. With data rates of 300 Mbps as per IEEE802.11n, it is the ideal device for fluid HD video, audio streaming and online gaming.
Flexible placement
The small enclosure for installation directly on the wall allows for simple yet flexible installation. Furthermore, the TL-WA850RE detects previously configured WIFI networks, so that you can switch very easily between various networks that have already been programmed in, without changing anything.
Plug and play
Without having to lay new cable, you can create a connection very easily by pressing the WPS button on the AP/router, followed by actuating the range extender button on the TL-WA850RE.
Ethernet bridge
The Ethernet port of the TL-WA850RE allows the repeater to serve simultaneously as a WIFI adapter for Ethernet devices such as Blue-ray® players, game consoles, video recorders and televisions. Simultaneously, as usual, your WIFI network is enlarged.
Signal strength display
5 LEDs show the signal strength currently received through the TL-WA850RE, making it very easy for you to find the best operating location.
Universal usability
The TL-WA850RE cooperates seamlessly with IEEE802.11b/g/n devices. Naturally Microsoft® Windows® 8 is also supported.
