The IC232485S industrial RS232 to RS422/485 serial converter is a bidirectional adapter that allows you to convert an RS232 data signal to either RS485 (2- or 4-wire) or RS422 and vice versa. Baud rates of up to 921.6 kbps are supported.
The serial port is ideal for industrial environments and provides 15 KV ESD protection for all signal pins to protect expensive and often sensitive control units against electrical damage. The serial converter also has a sturdy, wall-mountable metal housing.
The adapter supports automatic baud rate detection as well as detection of RS422 and RS485 modes, has an integrated dip switch for manual mode selection on demand and supports connection distances of up to 1200 m.
