Automatic and convenient control of the room temperature through demand-based heating
The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat - basic is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and actively helps to save energy. The smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, allowing energy savings of up to 30 % to be achieved.
The thermostat is installed on the radiator without interfering with the heating system and without tools. It is powered by two AA batteries, which can supply energy for approx. 2 years. The radiator thermostat can be used immediately thanks to the preset heating profile - this can be adjusted manually at any time if required. Individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes per day are possible. This means that Homematic IP only heats certain rooms when there is a real need.
Setup can be carried out flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point) or via a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU3 central control unit). Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also be operated without a central control unit: Stand-alone operation (push-to-pair) enables direct teaching of up to eight window and door contacts with magnet (HmIP-SWDM) to automatically lower the room temperature when ventilating.
The radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system via the app. The cloud solution makes it possible, for example, to set the temperature at any time from any location. If you prefer to keep the data locally in your home network but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, you can set it up via the CCU3 central control unit.
