Product Description
The MC100CM is a media converter for converting 100BASE-FX fiber to 100Base-TX copper media or vice versa. The MC100CM is designed according to the IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards and is intended for use with multimode fiber optic cables with SC connectors. The MC100CM supports the long-wave laser (LX) specification at full transmission speed. It operates at 1310nm for both transmitting and receiving data.
Other features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with TP-LINK's MC1400 chassis, Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, auto-negotiation of duplex mode. The MC100CM transmits at extended fiber distances using multimode fiber up to 2 kilometers.
