The Japanese Katana longsword is manufactured using a unique production process developed over the centuries which even now is mastered by only a few expert swordsmiths. The new Scythe Katana 3 CPU cooler is likewise the product of continuing development. It is distinguished from other CPU coolers in its class by its many features, making it a worthy successor to the predecessor models Katana and Katana 2.

• VTMS (versatile tool-free multiplatform system)
The Katana 3 CPU cooler is mounted on the motherboard quickly and securely using the tool-free VTMS mounting mechanism.
• S.P.S. (slant pipe structure)
The very first Katana developed also featured the slightly curved shape of the Katana 3. This facilitates both direct heat dissipation from the cooling fins and additional cooling of the motherboard components.
• F.P.S. (fast-phase structure)
The various fins enlarge the surface of the base plate for additional heat dissipation. This optimises the overall performance of the cooler despite the compact dimensions of the overall system.
