The Lindy USB 2.0 Cat.6 extender uses a Cat.5e/6 (or higher) STP network cable to bridge distances of up to 60 m between computers and four peripherals. We recommend the use of patch cables with rigid cores to achieve the best possible performance and compatibility.
It is a hardware solution that consists of two components: a transmitter that connects to the computer and a receiver that to connect peripherals.
The extender is suitable for USB 2.0 devices such as printers, storage media, scanners, mice or keyboards. A power supply is included if you want to connect a high-power devices.
