"Vigor 167 Supervectoring VDSL/ADSL ModemThe Vigor 167 is a high-performance DSL modem for high-speed Internet connections and is ideal for Supervectoring with Profile 35b as well as for common VDSL and ADSL connections, including VDSL Profile 17a.
This makes the modem ideally suited for both existing DSL connections and modern All-IP and BNG connections.
Thanks to its versatility, the Vigor 167 is the right solution when a reliable modem is needed for ADSL, VDSL, or Supervectoring connections.
If necessary, the device also supports VLAN tagging in case the downstream router does not handle this function.
Out of the box, the Vigor 167 is preconfigured as a standalone modem with VLAN tag 7.
This allows it to be used directly with many connections without requiring additional configuration of the dial-up router.
If your Internet service provider uses a different VLAN tag, you can easily adjust the corresponding value via the modem's web interface.
The integrated chipset supports both Annex A and Annex B in a single device.
The package includes the appropriate connection cables for various connection types, including a TAE-F-to-RJ11 cable, an RJ11-to-RJ11 cable, and an RJ11-to-RJ45 cable.
Two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports are available for easy integration into existing networks.
For example, the dial-up router can be connected via LAN Port 1, while LAN Port 2 can still be used to access the modem—for instance, to monitor status information.
With support for IPv6 and modern VLAN technologies for triple-play applications, the Vigor 167 is also prepared for current and future network requirements.
This makes it a reliable choice for getting the most out of a DSL connection.
If needed, the Vigor 167 can also be used as a router.
To do so, simply enable the router function via the web interface.
The device can then be connected to a computer via LAN and configured according to the desired network settings.
The setup process is straightforward and can be completed even without extensive technical knowledge.
