The R&S NGE100 series includes the NGE102 two-channel power supply unit and the NGE103 three-channel power supply unit. Both units provide up to 33.6 W output power per channel. Unlike most other power supplies in this class, the NGE100 power supply units provide 100% electrically equivalent output channels. All outputs are non-earthed and short-circuit proof. The output channels can be connected in series or in parallel to achieve higher voltages or currents (up to 96 V/9 A when using all three channels of the NGE103).
To prevent damage to the supply unit and the device under test, the R&S NGE100 power supply units are equipped with a number of protective functions. For each channel, users can separately set the maximum current (electronic fuse, overcurrent protection, OCP), the maximum voltage (overvoltage protection, OVP) or the maximum power (overpower protection, OPP).
