This module has both an analog signal output pin and a digital signal output pin, so it can be connected directly to an Arduino but also to a Raspberry Pi.
A thermistor is a type of resistor whose resistance depends on temperature, more so than standard resistors.
Thermistors are often used as inrush current limiters, temperature sensors (typically of the NTC type), self-resetting overcurrent protection devices, and self-regulating heating elements.
