Verbatim Blu-Ray discs have a recording speed three times faster than conventional DVDs. 6x Blu-Rays achieve transfer rates of up to 216 Mbit/s, for data media with 4x write speeds the rate is 144 Mbit/s and Blu-Ray blanks with 2x write speed achieve recording speeds of 72 Mbit/s.
