The Hager type A series of residual current circuit breakers includes versions with 6 kA and 10 kA breaking capacities. These devices are the well-known, commercially available pulse current-sensitive residual current circuit breakers. In addition to sinusoidal alternating fault currents, these products also detect pulsating direct residual currents. In principle, type A can be used for all circuits and devices (loads) without frequency conversion or voltage rectification unless the manufacturer of these devices explicitly requires a different type of RCD due to the technology used in them.
