Various modes are available, including JBOD, RAID 0, BIG and RAID 1.
Using these modes, users can choose between increased speed, mirroring of data for greater resilience, detection of HDDs as individual drives and detection of both hard drives as one big drive.
The striping functionality (RAID 0) in particular is given a boost thanks to the modern USB 3.0 port, which makes it possible to achieve transfer rates as high as 5 Gbit per second.
The hard drives also produce lower operating temperatures over a longer service life thanks to the active cooling provided by a 6-cm-large, low-noise fan.
