This isolated barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications.
The device transmits binary signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts from the potentially explosive area to the non-hazardous area.
The proximity switch or mechanical contact controls the load on the control side for a relay contact output. The output of the device changes status when the input signal changes status.
Switches can be used to reverse the direction of action of the outputs and to switch off line fault detection.
During a fault state, the relay drops off and the fault is indicated by LEDs in accordance with NAMUR NE 44.
If the device is operated via Power Rail, a collective error message is also issued.
Thanks to its compact design and low heat generation, this device can be used to detect positions, end positions and switching states in applications where space is limited.
