No prior knowledge or experience is required, as the kits guide you step-by-step through the lessons, you are well supported by teacher guides, and the lessons can be taught according to your students' abilities.
You can integrate the kit across the curriculum and give your students the opportunity to gain confidence in programming and electronics with guided sessions and open-ended experiments.
You'll also teach them important 21st century skills like collaboration and problem solving.
The Arduino Education Starter Kit includes all the hardware and software you need for eight students (in groups of 2).
You'll get step-by-step lessons, teacher notes, exercises, and for a complete and in-depth classroom experience, there are also additional optional resources including activities, concepts, history, and interesting facts.
The online platform includes the teacher content, nine 90-minute lessons, and two open-ended group projects that teach students programming and electronics.
Each lesson builds on the previous one and gives students another opportunity to apply the skills and concepts they have already learned.
Students also receive a technical logbook to complete as they work through the lessons.
At the beginning of each lesson, students are given an outline, estimated completion times, and learning objectives.
During each lesson, there are teacher notes and information to help the lesson run smoothly.
Extension ideas are provided at the end of each lesson.
