You need drill bits of the right size in order to drill a perfect hole for threaded inserts. Since standard drill sets do not cater for these particular sizes, we have developed drill bits that make holes that are suitable for threaded inserts.

The HSS drill bits are suitable for use on a very wide range of materials such as plastic, PLA, PETG, ABS, steel, aluminium, copper, brass, nickel and zinc. The set includes 5 drill bits ranging from 3.2 to 8 mm in diameter for M2, M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6 and 1/4'' threaded inserts

Suitable for 3D printing:
The special drill bits can be an advantage, particularly in 3D printing, as the pre-created holes for the threaded inserts close up due to the heat. These can be easily reworked using the drill bits.
