Description
Dekasyl MS-5 is an MS polymer-based adhesive with high adhesion and initial strength, suitable for producing elastic joints of components. Thanks to its high adhesive strength, clamping times can be reduced or clamps can be completely eliminated. In addition, Dekasyl MS-5 can also be used as a sealant if similar materials (with similar rigidity) are joined or if mechanical fastening methods are used.
Applications
- Elastic joints and seals in the construction of trains, caravans, motorhomes and lorries.
- Bonding polyester parts with metal frames.
Features- Free of solvents, isocyanate and PVC.
- Excellent resistance to UV resistance and ageing.
- High initial strength. Generally good adhesion without priming on different substrates.
- Permanently elastic in the temperature range from -40°C to +120°C.
- Neutral, odourless and fast curing.
- After forming the skin, it can be painted over (wet to wet) - this generally does not affect the curing.
- Compatible with most industrial coating or painting systems, both alkyd resin and dispersion paints (a compatibility test is recommended due to the large number of different types of industrial paints).
