For professional server applicationsHard drives in a 2.5'' format are becoming increasingly popular. Your storage capacity is on the up. They are ideal for use in servers. That's why ICY BOX now offers a backplane that can be installed in a 5.25'' unit and holds four 2.5'' SAS or SATA hard drives.
The hard drive can reach heights of up to 15 mm for the highest storage capacity. Two host connectors each allow operation of SAS hard drives in dual channel mode. This ICY BOX is extremely stable even with a very high data throughput. We therefore recommend them in particular for challenging applications in RAID systems.
Controlling the temperature is designed to be correspondingly complex. The aluminium housing cools and the two 40-mm fans work reliably and quietly. Everything is just as solid and secure as the tried-and-tested ICY BOX backplanes for big systems.
