BCN3D's nylon cleaning method effectively unblocks any clogged hot ends
The BCN3D cleaning filament is used as a useful solution for the maintenance and cleaning of 3D printing nozzles and hot ends. The cleaning filament is a 50-g nylon filament that is pushed manually through the pressure nozzle. This removes dirt, in the form of deposits or carbonised (burnt) filament, from the nozzles. This cleaning method should be carried out at regular intervals to prevent underextrusion and to facilitate material changes.
Depending on the print volume, we recommend that this cleaning be carried out monthly. The process releases or prevents a clogged pressure nozzle. At the same time, it is important to ensure the nozzle is clean when changing the material. When changing a material with a high print temperature to a material with a low print temperature, for example, remnants of the previous material may remain, which can no longer melt correctly and therefore cause a defect in the printing operation.
